Formed in March 2010, GIZMO is a pop punk trio influenced by the happy, carefree sound of '90s bands like Hi-STANDARD. Their songs are typically upbeat, catchy, and fast – many of them clock in at just barely over two minutes long. While much of their catalogue is almost childishly light-hearted, they have a more emotional side that comes out from time to time.
Guitarist Nakao Ryota and bassist Yoshimoto Naoyuki share vocal duties, singing in English, and Yoshimoto also creates much of the band’s artwork himself.
Based in Osaka, they signed with the punk rock label WORLD WIDE records in November 2014 and have since been releasing new music and touring at an impressive pace.
