Sharaku Kobayashi (
FLOPPY,
GalapagosS, ex-
metronome) officially started activities with a new solo project earlier this year.
Going simply by
Sharaku Kobayashi, which is written in English letters to emphasize his desire to take his music overseas, he has already recorded and released a three-track demo called
DEMO TAKES. He also recently opened an
official website for the project featuring information in both English and Japanese.
It has been stated that this project will have an 8-bit pop sound, but it will still retain a "made in Japan" flavour due to its Japanese melodies and his stage attire.
In addition,
Sharaku will be performing at the two-day chipmusic festival
SQUARE SOUNDS TOKYO 2015, which will be held at Koenji High on September 26th and 27th. This installment of
SQUARE SOUNDS will feature chiptune artists from the UK, France and the US, as well as a number of other Japanese musicians. You can find more information on the event
here.
