A special birthday party celebration will be held for the late X JAPAN guitarist hide on December 13th.
hide Birthday Party!!2011 will be held at Kawasaki's CLUB CITTA' and will feature the artists Kimura Seiji＆YANA, CUTT electric, defspiral, DJ-INA, MADBEAVERS, MAKIN’ LOVE , Ra:IN and more. There will also be a special end of year club event two days later, on December 15th, at Shinjuku MARZ featuring DJ Hiroaki Asai and VJ SHRIMP.
In addition to this, it has been announced that a hide fashion doll is to be released in 2012 in collaboration with the fashion doll manufacturer GROOVE as part of their TAEYANG series.
Though an exact release date has not yet been decided, the doll is expected to be available in either January or February. The doll measures approximately 35cm (just under 14") and depicts hide in the music video for ROCKET DIVE with detailed hair, make-up and costume. It is fully poseable with thirty joints, as well as moving eyes, removable clothes to give the doll different outfits and hair which can be styled.
The doll is set to be priced at around ¥15,000 (approx. $196 / £123 / €142).
