SCISSOR

SCISSOR formed in August 2002 with Miki (ex-PINK FILM) on vocals, Grif (Zipang) and Shino (ex-sigmund[Freud]) on guitars, Seiichi (ex-Crime of Fiction and rephit) on bass, and Shiun (ex-Blanc:Noir and rephit) on drums.

Their first release, in September of that year, was a jazzy demo entitled Nise Ren'ai Uranaishi and the band quickly began touring the Tokyo area before releasing a second demo, which had an edgier punk sound.
SCISSOR released their first mini album, NUMBER CUT, which featured their first two demos as well as some new songs, in July after joining Michiru's label, Loop*Ash. On October 13th they held their first one-man concert, VIRGIN CUT, at Ikebukuro Cyber. Before the end of the year they had already released a second mini album on December 10th, followed by their second one-man only six days later.

Due to health-related issues, Seiichi left the band in April 2004 and was replaced shortly thereafter by Tsunehito (ex-givuss). In August, they released NUMBER CUT #3, which displayed a mellower side of SCISSOR. After a one-man tour through some major cities, Grif also took his leave and Reeno (ex-Tear) took his place.

In October of 2005, the maxi single, FLY, was released and soon after, they announced their disbandment. A final single, FAREWELL, was released and some of the members have since become parts of other projects.

Reeno is now a member of the group Rude Dunk and Tsunehito is now the bassist for the wildly popular band, D. Miki became one of the vocalists of the highly visual band Mix Speaker's,Inc., a project started by former Psycho le Cemu members seek and Aya. Shino turned up in a band called MiU in the second half of 2008, but the other members have not been seen since, or have only participated in session bands. However, their still solid fan base continues to support them and hope for their return to the music scene as well.
