Blast was formed around mid-2001. The initial three members were already experienced musicians - up until 2001 that had all played in Lamiel. After Lamiel broke up, Yuina (vocals, ex-Lustair), Hiderou (bass), and Iori (guitars, ex-Phobia) decided to form a new band together. Initially Blast didn't even have a drummer and they couldn't ask their former band mate for help, as Lamiel's drummer Toki joined the newly created Deadman.

As a three-piece, they released their first demo tape on July 28th 2001. It proved their fans from the Lamiel times were still with them - their demo tape ADAM, limited to 1500 copies, sold out during the pre-orders! Already on October 27th they played their first one man live at Meguro Rokumeikan, and still in the same year they released their first mini-album, Kurutta kajitsu, after which they played their second one man at the same venue as before.

Soon afterwards Hibiki joined Blast and the band finally had a drummer. Hibiki used to play in Kein. After this band split up most of it's members went on to form Deadman and they were joined by Lamiel's ex-drummer, Toki. The connections between these bands didn't stop there. Lamiel's ex-bassist, Ruka, had also been in Kein for a while, before he left and joined GULLET. aie had first played together with Yuina, Hiderou, and Iori in Lamiel, then joined Kein and finally created Deadman.

On April 5th 2002 they released a new version of their first mini-album - Kurutta kajitsu (ura). It was the first Blast release with Hibiki credited as their official drummer.

In August and May 2002, Blast toured together with Deadman, on a coupling tour named Hirusagari no Jekyll to Hyde. A special CD was sold during those lives, containing two tracks by each band - one original and one cover of the other band's song. On July 27th the Hirusagari no Jekyll to Hyde CD was made available to purchase through mail orders and in a few chosen shops. A couple of months later, on October 31st, they released their third mini-album, Skai ryouiki.

In the second half of 2002 and the first half of 2003, Blast performed mainly with GULLET and Fatima. All throughout in 2003 they played at various live events with many other known bands such as The GazettE, SCISSOR, Porori, Doremidan, Vanilla, Metronome, EllDorado, Jinkaku radio and Aliza Marie. On June 8th, they played a two man live with GULLET at Meguro Rokumeikan. August witnessed the release of their fourth, and as it later turned out last mini-album, Downer of the world. They continued to play concerts until the end of the year and on November they participated in an event called Tokyo traingle 3Days ~heaven2nights~ at Meguro Rokumeikan with Deadman on the 22nd, tossin, emmurée and SCISSOR on the 23rd, and with pumpkinhead, HISKAREA and Under on the 24th.

Unfortunately, a few months later Blast announced their break up. After the final gig on March 14th 2004, the band came to an end.
