Bassist Vivi and guitarist Kotome founded the band in 1992. The vocalist Yuri joined them by request a little later and the trio was complete. The name 54 Nude Honeys comes from the American nude cards, which are marketed in the US with the name "54 HEAVENLY NUDE HONEYS".

The trio gained experience in the following three years and shortly after their first release, a single named HAPPY HONEY PRETTY GO, they signed with major label EPIC SONY. Their first major mini-album, CRAZY HONEY BUNNY, came out in October 1995. They released four more CDs on the label, the last being their first full length album, GO CABARET( AROUND THE WORLD), in December 1996. A few months later, they left the label.

In 1998, 54 Nude Honeys released their album DROP THE GUN, performed alongside bands such as GUITAR WOLF and didn't hesitate in taking every opportunity to show their punk spirit. The following year, they played various concerts in Osaka, Kyoto and Nagoya.

In 2000, the girls started to expand their activities abroad and toured in the UK. They didn't limit their British activities to a tour only, but also released the single HOT GENERATION/I'M A RUBBER MAN on the UK label Mademoiselle Records. In the following two years, they performed many times in Japan. The trio also collaborated to a tribute album for the popular anime "BECK".

54 Nude Honeys left for New York in 2003, and performed a number of shows as well as doing some recordings in the United States. Later, they continued their activities in the US and Japanese markets and started to think about conquering the world with their addictive music and entertaining live shows. So, they spread their activities to France with help from the French label SKYDOG. In 2006, they extensively toured France, as well as playing a few shows in Switzerland. A European album was also released, and the girls returned to France again in May 2007.

Unfortunately, a few months later the band announced on their official website that they would disband. After fifteen years filled with various CD releases and tours all around the world from the 'Monster Rock'n'Roll Diva' group, they parted ways. However, even though they're not active anymore, the trio surely left an indelible impression on the Japanese punk scene and beyond.
