Leah Dizon was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and comes from a grand mix of ethnicities, including Chinese, Filipino and French. Growing up in a town known for entertainment, Leah took dance lessons and theater classes in high school before moving to Los Angeles to begin a career in modeling. Her ads and magazine shoots were immensely popular, particularly overseas in East Asia, so it came as no surprise that when Leah applied to a Japanese talent agency, she was quickly accepted.
Leah immediately moved to Tokyo and released her first photo book, Petite Amie, in 2006. Not one to waste any time, she also released her debut single, a cover of Kylie Minogue's Fever, as a digital download. Her first physical single was Softly, released on Valentine's Day 2007 under the Victor Entertainment label. Also out on the same day was her second photo book, Hello! Leah.
Through the rest of 2007, Leah released two more singles, both of which reached high positions on the Oricon charts, and was featured in numerous commercials. Her debut album, Destiny Line, came out in September and prominently featured her as a song writer.
The year 2008 saw the release of two more singles and her second album, Communication!!!. In addition to her work in music, Leah also co-hosts "Webtama," a program on TV Tokyo, and hosts Fuji TV's "Sakigake Ongaku Banzuke Vegas." In October, Leah held a press conference announcing her marriage and pregnancy. She gave birth to a baby girl in April 2009 and will announce further information regarding her career through her blog sometime in the near future.
