As is often the case with groups of this genre, information concerning their formation is withheld to help create a sense of mystery. We do know the group formed in 2003, when they took part in a private concert event covering songs from popular video games. They were then signed by the company Sham.Studio., which deals with people in the anime and video game industry such as seiyuu (anime voice actors).
Their first single, Magical Hacker☆Kurukuru Risk was released on the 14th of May 2004, and was to be followed by their first album, titled "AKIBA-POP"!! five months later on the 29th of October.
The year the band made their way to fame was 2006, and their celebrity was launched with the release of their new single, Kyun Kyun Panic on the 26th of August. This was followed two months later by Saikyou○×Keikaku, which was used as the theme for the anime series "Sumomo mo Momo mo." Their first official album, Amusement Pack, was released on the 26th of March 2008.
During the following year, they released many different singles, some of which were used for anime themes. On the 15th of April 2009 they released their latest album to date, Superluminal Ж AKIBA-POP.
MOSAIC.WAV is certainly a group of a very established and currently fashionable genre. Their style, following the atmosphere of Akihabara - a district prized by manga lovers - will attract anyone interested in otaku culture.
