AMWE is a producer, vocalist as well as graphic designer and it is amazing how she can coordinate herself to these commitments. Before she released her debut album I AM AMWE in October 2009, AMWE won the DIESEL:U:MUSIC award. She was also a featured artist on MySpace Japan. AMWE was also approached the French record label Kitsuné Music to feature her song Friction Between The Lovers as part of their compilation album Kitsuné Maison 8. In the French magazine Jalouse, AMWE made a full page appearance along with other renowned artists such as Towa Tei and Masamichi Kataoka.
AMWE performed at Summer Sonic 09 festival in August and then proceeded to tour London and Paris. Pure Groove Records, a record label based in the UK, released the double A side 7" EP Birth/Friction Between The Lovers and the following digital EP, Bangin' The Drum which has been released worldwide. These releases have been picked up by many digital outlets, creating a buzz everywhere.
AMWE seems to be a promising artist with so much to offer. We look forward to seeing her reach her full potential!
