Formed in May 2008 by ex-Himeyuri members Wataame Mashiro and Ryuuki, three additional members joined them to make up Paradeis: sei (ex-Julia), Ao and Miharu (ex-M). After forming Paradeis, Wataame Mashiro shortened his name to Mashiro.
After signing to Planet CHILD Music, Paradeis released their first single, Pandora no hako in June 2008, followed by a second single Nokosureta kakera no gikyoku, less than a month later. A mini-album, the other side of paradeis, was released in December of that year.
Mid-2009, Paradeis released another single, Senjou to Rakuen. The artwork for the single depicted dreamy, abstract flowers--something unlike Paradeis. Senjou to Rakuen charted 8th place on the Oricon indie charts.
Also throughout 2009, Paradeis released several free live-distributed CDs, four of which featured the other members on vocals, instead of solely Mashiro. The group also released a live DVD at the beginning of December, commemorating Paradeis’ first anniversary since formation.
Much like the previous year, 2010 brought much activity. First was the release of Paradeis’ first album, Col・Tempo in April. From October onwards, Paradeis released three live-distributed singles: Stella, Crazy Bunny and Kamihitoe. In July, Paradeis released their sixth single, LoLli★Lollipop, followed by a live DVD, Divine dolce Col・Tempo, just over a month afterwards.
The year 2011 saw another contribution to an omnibus album, another image change and features of the bands in visual kei magazines. Also in late 2011, Mashiro and Ryuuki were in a three-page spread in the book “Tokyo Rock Catwalk: Visual Kei Bands Big in Japan” from DH Publishing in the US. The book includes pictures of both members from their time in Himeyuri, in addition to fellow Planet CHILD Music label-mates. The same year also saw the release of Sozo Enogu, in three types. Most notably, the single charted a steady fifth place on the Oricon Indie charts.
Towards the end of 2011, the group shortened their name to simply Paradeis instead of the longer Oyuugi Wagamama-dan x 【PaRADEiS】, now making it far easier to say.
Unfortunately, Paradeis came to a bittersweet ending. On July 1st, 2012, Paradeis decided they would disband after a live on October 30. They decided it best to do so after releasing the album DREAM, just as the members essentially reached their own 'dream'.
