The 5.6.7.8s are one of only a few still active garage-bands from the mid-eighties. The band managed to stay active even though it had a lot of member changes in its history. The music of the female trio is a mix of surf-rock - invented by 60-ies icons like The Beach Boys - and garage-rock, which includes their colleagues of Guitar Wolf. Many of their songs are covers of diverse bands that played in the decades between 1950 and 1980. That is also where their name is from: the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. Their clothes seem to be taken from those times too, as it can be seen in the movie Kill Bill.
