Colourful clothes, an abundance of accessories and loud make up - these are definitely some of Lolita23q's characteristics--but don't let their apparent cuteness misguide you. Lolita23q’s music sounds rather heavy and rough at times, but in general can be described as catchy and melodic rock. Over the years, the members toned down their image slightly, but Lolita23q’s music remains as powerful as ever.

It is important to remember that Lolita23q is pronounced "Lolita Nijuusanku" as the “shoujo” is silent and should only be used in its written form. The “23q” refers to the grouping of 23 municipalities within the center of Tokyo and is often incorporated into Lolita23q’s tour names.

Lolita23q went on a hiatus on August 16th, 2012, but restarted activities on January 15th, 2017 with a live at Zepp Tokyo.
