Despite their short career, the indies band Def Tech has taken the Japanese music charts by storm. The duo consists of Shen, who grew up in Hawaii, and Micro, who was born and raised in Japan. The two combine influences from their respective cultures to form a fresh, upbeat sound that they dub "Jawaiian Music".
In general, their music consists of hip hop with a tropical mood, although it is not exactly comparable to its western counterpart as they give it their own vibe. One thing is for sure however; their music is perfect for summer.
