Shounannokaze, or “The wind from Shounan”, is a four-member group that plays music based on reggae combined with hip-hop influences. The quartet’s style pays homage to dancehall music, and it has brought them to a level of commercial success that almost no Japanese artist performing in the same genre has achieved before.
They also frequently incorporate collaborations with other musicians, such as MINMI, 10-FEET and RYO the SKYWALKER, into their music, which adds spice and variety to their sound.
