LiZ was a visual kei band that quickly gained recognition both at home and abroad for their aggressive and invigorating compositions. Their sound was characterized by a meticulous use of pauses in music, an air of derangement created by guitar and bass, often unpredictable drum rhythms that lent their songs explosiveness, and unexpected melodies. Carrying out those melodies was vocalist Rei with his particular brand of death vocals and dramatic singing.
Unfortunately, LiZ disbanded in September 2010, although they later reunited for a single show at Ikebukuro BlackHole on December 5, 2012.
