Formed in October 2002, all-female pop-punk quartet THE PINK☆PANDA were a much-needed breath of fresh air when they debuted in 2004. The band enjoyed only limited success, but they created a dedicated fanbase and performed at NAON no YAON 2008, a festival for female Japanese musicians.
THE PINK☆PANDA ceased activities in October 2008, precisely six years after the band's formation. F Chopper KOGA went on to form Gacharic Spin, and the remaining trio made a fresh start in 2009 as BLiSTAR.
