Kissing the Mirror was an extreme metal project, started in 2007 by guitarist Wooming. His first releases were metal covers of “Mega Man” soundtracks, but ultimately Wooming changed course, choosing to specialize in “Touhou Project” arranged albums instead.
Like many “Touhou Metal” acts, Kissing the Mirror’s early works were mostly instrumental. In 2010, TO LIVE TO DIE was the project's first album to feature vocals. Beyond the various sub-genres of extreme metal, other albums have dabbled in the likes of melodic power and rap metal.
In 2016, Wooming called time on the project with the poignantly-titled final album WORDS LEFT UNTOLD.
