été is an alternative rock trio hailing from Tokyo. Their music blends catchy rock and pop together with influences from genres such as post-rock and hardcore, with the end result being tracks that can be mellow and pleasant one moment and packed with violent bursts of emotion the next. One of the most distinctive aspects of their sound is frontman Yuuki Okita's high-pitched voice which adds a sweet and sometimes almost fragile contrast to their heavier songs. été also place plenty of emphasis on their lyrics, with the members going as far as to describe their sound as “guitar rock meets poetry reading”.
