Active since 2014, Okinawa-based Mugi the Cat is the reincarnation of a pet cat who passed away in 2009. He now occupies a body handmade by his owner Yusaku-chan. He released his debut album Tengoku kamo shirenai in 2017, followed in 2019 by Kimi ni ai ni on major label Victor Entertainment’s Speedstar Records imprint. Whilst best known for his skill on the xylophone, the feline singer-songwriter is proficient on several instruments and is also a capable rapper.
