U;Nee started her career as an actress in 1996 before having the opportunity to pursue her dream of being a singer. She was met with negative reactions due to being seen to concentrate more on her image than on the quality of her music.
She released 3 full length album, a "rarities" album and a single as well as trying to break into the Japanese market with a single before her tragic death at the age of 25.
