168-onesixtyeight-'s Aoi to release a single under another name.
Solo artist Aoi, formerly of ayabie, has announced that he will release another solo single in July, under the name Aoi-168-.
Since May 2012, Aoi had been performing under his solo project 168-onesixtyeight-, with a range of support members. Aoi released one single, titled Setsugetsuka, and a live DVD for this project.
Along with his planned single, Aoi is set to move labels, from TOKUMA Japan to Warner Music Japan, and has apparently set his sights on reaching out to a global audience.
Additional details regarding the new single have yet to be announced but are expected to be revealed soon.
