More details have been revealed regarding this year's
J-Summit event, which will take place on September 1st at The Bowery Electric in New York City.
This annual event offers a welcoming environment to enjoy Japanese music and fashion for all fans and artists, and aims to create connections and cultural exchanges between Tokyo and New York City. Since the earthquake and tsunami in 2011,
J-Summit has also served as an event to collect donations for the ongoing relief efforts overseas.
This year's acts have been announced as pop singer
Aki, singer-songwriter
IRI, rock band
LUST, Brooklyn-based soul-fusion band
Nafsi Groove, Long Island-based classical and opera singer
Nicole Oliva, and rock bands
RED, and
Sound Bee feat. Yuri Bear.
