400 Korean and foreign fans show their support to Heechul as he enters the military.
Last month Super Junior’s Heechul announced his enlistment in the military. SM Entertainment released the news while the group were in the midst of promoting their new album, Mr. Simple.
Kim Heechul entered the military on September 1st. Originally, the singer wasn’t planning to announce his enlistment until after he entered, but changed his mind as he thought this would be more respectful towards his fans. SM Entertainment announced that the members of Super Junior would not be escorting him to the training camp. However, on arrival Heechul was greeted by 400 Korean and foreign fans, letting him know they would be waiting for him. Heechul greeted his fans shortly by saying he would become an adult before returning.
Due to the busy schedule of fellow member Siwon, Super Junior will continue their activities as an eight-member band. However, SM Entertainment have already announced the enlistment of SuJu’s leader Leeteuk next year.
