Another star to fulfil their military service.
Military duty is obligatory for every man, with some exceptions, in South Korea. This naturally includes actors and singers as well. While a few Super Junior members have already been reported to have military plans, quite recently it has also been said that superstar Rain wold follow suit.
Rain mentioned officially on his Twitter profile that he will be joining the army on October 11th. He said: "It's been nearly 10 years since my debut...Because of my fans, I was able to do so many things and value the hard work and glory. I'm entering later than most people, but I will work hard and faithfully to make up for it. […] I was able to fulfill so many dreams thanks to the fans that cheered me on for 10 years, thank you. I will return as a more mature Jung Jihoon."
As a farewell with his fans, Rain held his Rain The Best Show tour with shows held in Busan, Daegu, Jeju Island, Gwangju and Daejeon. The tour final was on September 24th in Seoul’s Olympic Park Stadium.
