The Next Music from Tokyo is a unique tour that brings innovative and outstanding Japanese indie bands to Canada. Recently, tour founder
Steven Tanaka announced a few of the bands that will be performing at the next installment.
The three confirmed acts are no-wave/noise band
otori, quirky indie rockers
mothercoat (who also made the trek to Canada for the very first installment of the tour) and self-described "cynical pop band"
Ame no Parade.
Tanaka has also revealed that he is currently in the process of choosing a fourth band and would like to hear opinions on bands currently under consideration, such as
OWARIKARA and
Gekitetsu. Check out
