In January,
Next Music from Tokyo tour founder
Steven Tanaka revealed that he had selected three bands for the seventh installment of the tour and was looking to choose a fourth.
Now,
Tanaka has announced that after careful consideration he has chosen young rock band
PENs+ because he is impressed by how quickly their skills have developed and he feels that their complex, but catchy songs will balance out the line-up the best.
PENs+ will join no-wave/noise band
otori, quirky indie rockers
mothercoat and self-described "cynical pop band"
Ame no Parade on the tour, which will travel across Canada sometime this summer.
