Tetsu Takano, a veteran of Japan's rock scene probably best known as the first vocalist of MALICE MIZER and as the frontman of the supergroup ZIGZO, has started yet another new project.
This time, Tetsu has merged members of his energetic indie rock band nil and his more mellow and experimental rock trio THE JUNEJULYAUGUST together into a new group called THE BLACK COMET CLUB BAND.
The members joining him in this new band are nil's bassist Masaru Kobayashi and drummer Hiroyuki Kazama and THE JUNEJULYAUGUST's drummer Koji Kaziwara and pianist Hajime Sato.
THE BLACK COMET CLUB BAND will make their CD debut with a self-titled album on October 7th. A vinyl edition of the album will also be available for a limited time. The band already has a number of lives planned as well, including appearances at the RISING SUN ROCK FESTIVAL and THE SOLAR BUDOKAN.
