The members reached this decision after drummer 1000 announced that he would be retiring from music. They reportedly felt it would be too big a challenge to continue as Tokami without him. 1000 was the last remnant of the original trio that started the band in 2005.
Tokami will part ways after their final one-man live Unknown Sanctuary ~a place of your own~ at Shinjuku ReNY on June 29th.
