Visual kei band Misaruka have announced that they will be calling it quits after a final one-man live at Takadanobaba AREA on May 30th.
The news came shortly after the group stated that they were planning to disband if they were not able to meet a certain sales goal for their show at the same venue on January 12th.
In a message on their official website, Misaruka thanked the 187 people that came to the live and the rest of the fans that have supported them throughout their nine-year career. They apologized for the sudden announcement, but stated that they hope the fans will continue to support them until the end.
Misaruka's third full-length album -WHAT DO YOU WANT?- is scheduled for release on February 22nd. It will be available in two editions. Type A will be sold in stores, and it will be a CD-only release featuring 11 tracks. Type B will be available exclusively at lives and via Starwave Records' online shop, and it will feature a bonus DVD with footage from their performance at Shinjuku ReNY on June 29th last year. Both versions are limited to 1000 copies.
