the telephones frontman Akira Ishige's new band Yap!!! will release its first mini-album on October 25th.
Containing six tracks, I Wanna Be Your Hero will be released on Romantic 1984, a new label Ishige started under UK.PROJECT. Shortly after the release, the band will embark on its first tour, !!! We Dance, We Rock !!!, which will kick off on November 4th at Nagoya CLUB ROCK' N' ROLL.
Yap!!! was just revealed this August, when the band suddenly released a digital single titled Dancing in Midnight / Street. In addition to Ishige on guitar, vocals, synthesizer and programming, it features support bassist Shinya Shioikari (ex-Kidori Kidori) and drummer Kousuke Kakiuchi. The band's sound features Ishige's distinctive high-pitched vocals and danceable rock tunes.
