Exactly two years after his untimely passing, the last works of
Yokoyama Shota will be released as a mini-album titled
Melting.
The CD will include five tracks in total, and it is available for international pre-order from
HIGHFeeL's webshop. It will be shipped on November 30th.
The title track,
Melting, was released on SoundCloud after the announcement of
Shota's solo career on October 31st, 2015. However, his plans for the project could not be fulfilled as he passed away after suffering from a stroke onstage in Warsaw in late November 2015. The first four songs are the only tracks from his solo project that he was able to personally mix and validate before his passing - it has been decided that the remaining songs will be withheld out of respect for his memory. The fifth track is a raw version of his final guitar solo, which was recorded live less than 24 hours before he collapsed in Warsaw.
The artwork for
Melting was handled by
Sakai Ryota, who was in charge of all the artistic works for
Shota's previous projects.
