Dance-rock band Yap!!! have announced that they will be releasing 12 consecutive digital singles starting this month.
The first, Dance until the day I die, will be available for download and streaming on most popular platforms tomorrow, August 2nd. The song is described as a dance tune combining influences from 90s house and rave music with the band's signature sad melodies.
With these digital releases, the band is said to be aiming to evolve from the dance-punk and dance-rock sound of their earlier works towards a more full-fledged dance and club music-inspired sound. All of the singles will be recorded, mixed and
mastered in a DIY style by frontman Akira Ishige at his home studio, and each one will hit stores on the second day of the month.
So far, the only other single details are available about is the second. It will be titled 246, and it will come out on September 2nd. It has been described as the first fragment of Yap!!!'s new direction. An instrumental song,
it is said to be a track they created so that they can shift into a band that is able to perform in clubs in addition to concert venues.
