The Birthday frontman Yusuke Chiba has announced that he will release a new album with his SNAKE ON THE BEACH solo project on November 27th.
Shiosai will be Chiba's second solo album, following 2012's DEAR ROCKERS. It will feature a total of 17 tracks that Chiba selected from over 50 he wrote since the release of DEAR ROCKERS. Chiba composed the music
and lyrics and also arranged and performed most of the songs by himself, with Tokyo, which features The Birthday's Kenji Fujii on guitar, being a notable exception. The majority of the tracks will be instrumental.
In addition, the album will come with a bonus DVD containing an "image video" for all of the tracks that will feature photos that Chiba took himself, as well as "self liner notes" (a video interview explaining the thought process behind each track).
Chiba also recently teamed up with TOKYO SKA PARADISE ORCHESTRA for the first time in 18 years to record ¡Dale Dale!, the image song for the 19-20 season of WOWOW's coverage of Spain's La Liga soccer league. The song was debuted
on August 3rd, although no official release has been announced for it just yet.
