Good Morning America frontman Shingo Kanehiro has revealed that he will be releasing a solo mini-album on March 18th.
Titled Hajimari no Uta, it will contain six tracks. It is said to have a different sound from his previous works.
Kanehiro has been active in the music industry for nearly 20 years, and he has performed solo acoustic sets on and off for much of his career, but this will be his first official solo release.
He began his career in 2001 with the emo/pop-punk band for better, for worse, which went on hiatus in 2006. After reassessing their musical direction, the band's members reemerged as the rock band Good Morning America in
2007. Kanehiro was the vocalist, guitarist and main songwriter for both bands. After Good Morning America went on hiatus this January, Kanehiro and drummer Pegi formed a new rock trio called Asuralbert II, which
was just revealed in February.
