Punk rock band
THE STARBEMS will release a new digital single on June 5th.
COMMUNIST GIRL is their first new release in about a year, and it features two tracks: the title song, which is said to be a power pop track, and the coupling song
DON'T JUDGE ME NOW, which is said to combine influences from genres like
groove metal and hardcore.
The band will also be streaming a studio live via YouTube to commemorate its release at 20:00 JST on June 10th. They will be performing a mix of new songs and rearranged versions of previously released tracks.

Formed
in 2013,
THE STARBEMS is led by ex-
BEAT CRUSADERS frontman
Toru Hidaka. While the band's two guitarists and drummer withdrew from the group in 2018,
Hidaka and bassist
Junichirou Yamashita restarted live activities with support members in
2019.
