Rikka and Mori Calliope Announce Fanworks Event for "spiral tones"

Earlier this year, Rikka, a virtual YouTuber from Hololive Production's male branch Holostars, revealed a new original song created in collaboration with Hololive English's "rapping reaper" Mori Calliope.

Titled spiral tones, the song was released as a digital single on May 11th. Rikka and Calliope also revealed a music video for the song and announced a fanworks event around the same time. They are inviting listeners from all over the world to create remixes (both remixes featuring vocals and instrumental remixes are allowed), vocal covers and dance videos using the track and to submit them on Twitter using the hashtag "#morikka_st". Up to 30 winners selected from the submissions will receive autographed postcards as a prize.

Fans are welcome to participate in any language, but the videos must be a minimum of one minute long. The deadline for submissions is 23:59 (JST) on June 13th.

In addition, Rikka released another original song titled Archive on May 23rd. Rikka wrote the music and lyrics for the song himself, and it was arranged by Bernis. The track is available on digital platforms worldwide now.

Rikka debuted as a VTuber in October 2019, as part of Holostars' first generation. His character is an android created specially for Holostars (dubbed a "Holoroid") that began streaming due to his interest learning more about humans. Like most VTubers, Rikka is not just a singer - he also live streams video games and frequently collaborates with the other members of the Holostars group. His fans are called "Tuners".
