Double And, a solo idol project consisting of Saki Chitose, will release a new EP on July 10th.
In a break with idol tradition, Saki has written all the songs on the five-track EP, Nisoku De Hokou, herself, and has worked with various Japanese and international musicians to produce tracks featuring elements of J-pop, modern
rock and punk. The release is said to be influenced by Saki's life experiences, with lyrics and guitar tones representing themes such as growth, friendship and celebrating youth.
Saki commented:
"For a few years now I've been writing lyrics and music and this time, I’ve successfully put together
a full EP of self-composed songs.
This is the first time for me to compose all the tracks so I was a little worried, but I had a lot of fun making this EP! I felt that it's helped me to develop my skills as well. Since it was self-produced, I learned that there are still many
things that I can't do by myself, but there were many people that helped me.
I hope that as many people as possible will enjoy Double And's new EP and songs.
Thanks to all the fans who always support me!”
The physical edition of the release is available for purchase from Double And's official webshop (worldwide shipping is available), and those who purchase one before July 11th will be able to participate in a live stream signing session
that will take place at 20:00 (JST).
The digital version of the EP will become available for download and streaming worldwide on July 20th.
