Shunshuuei -Beautiful world- contains Kurosaki’s ending theme songs for a forthcoming trilogy of OVAs based on the "Hakuouki" franchise. The ex-ALTIMA vocalist's songs have been a recurring feature of the games' anime adaptations since 2011.
The single is Kurosaki’s first release since her collapse during a livestreamed concert in mid-September. She subsequently underwent treatment for an epidural hematoma. Her only other solo release this year was the digital single JUNCTION in July.
