Shoegaze idol unit RAY will release a new album on May 25th.
Green will contain 16 tracks. The lead song Gravity was composed and arranged by
Daniel Knowles of British shoegaze band Amusement Parks on Fire. Other songwriters who contributed to the release include Yoshida Ichiro Untouchable World, Yusuke Hata from cruyff in the bedroom, Tomoya Matsuura from
monocism, Azusa Suga from For Tracy Hyde, Yusei Tsuruta from Seventeen Years Old And Berlin Wall, ishikawa from my dead girlfriend and Kei Toriki from Asunojokei.
The album is said to sharpen the shoegaze/dream pop-inspired sound RAY have employed on their earlier works, while adding elements from genres such as technopop, synthwave and city pop to broaden their sound even further.
Fans won't have to wait until May to hear the new songs, however, as the full album is available on YouTube for a limited time. It can be streamed below, along with the MV for TEST and live footage of Ai wa doko itta no?.
