Power metal band JORMUNGAND will digitally release a new album on July 16th.
vivid chaos will be the band's fifth full-length effort, as well as their last. Guitarist and bandleader Ryu-5150 has confirmed JORMUNGAND will end activities on the album's day of release, bringing the curtain down on its eight-year career.
Ryu-5150 formed JORMUNGAND in 2014 with vocalist Miiya, who was a regular guest on his solo project 5150's albums based on "Touhou Project" soundtracks. Bassist Sakathan and drummer Forest River completed the line-up.
Back on June 18th, JORMUNGAND added a remastered edition of their self-titled debut album, as well as their third album Silent Enhancers, to streaming services for the first time.
They've since unveiled lyric videos for three songs on vivid chaos: Stigma, Senko Lightning and Imaginary. These can be watched below.
