New Album from BlackLab

The self-proclaimed "doom witch duo from Osaka" BlackLab will release their third album In A Bizarre Dream via British label New Heavy Sounds on August 19th.

Produced by Jun Morino and mixed by Wayne Adams, the album's sound is described as "doom meets hardcore punk, hooky melodies, and killer riffs, all cranked up to the max". It will contain 10 tracks, including Cold Rain and Abyss Woods, which BlackLab performed during their set at London's Desert Fest earlier this year.

Fans may recall that BlackLab's name comes from a combination of two of frontwoman Yuko Morino's favourite bands, Black Sabbath and Stereolab. Fans will get a taste of what this combination would actually sound like on the album, as it features a guest appearance from Stereolab's Laetitia Sadier. She provided the lead vocals for the song Crows, Sparrows and Cats, which is available for streaming now on Bandcamp. 

The album will be released on CD and in a deluxe 12" vinyl version. The vinyl edition will feature a full colour sleeve and lyric inner, housing a two-colour blue and yellow cosmic swirl record. A download of the album will be included with both physical formats, and the release will also be available on all streaming platforms.
