Visual kei band Jack Caper will disband in February 2023.
The band will hold a final one-man tour to say goodbye to their fans. The Saigo no Itazura tour will begin at Shinsaibashi CLAPPER on January 21st. Jack Caper will disband following the final date at HOLIDAY SHINJUKU on February
4th.
In a message on their official website, the members apologized for the sudden announcement and thanked the fans for all of their support, but did not give any specific reason for the decision.
In an individual comment, vocalist Hiro thanked all of the group's members for fighting alongside him and stated that he is proud that they managed to continue for six years. Guitarist Choco stated that when he first joined Jack Caper he was still in
college and had little experience, and he thanked the three other members and fans for welcoming him and having patience with him throughout his three years as a member. Bassist YG thanked the fans for supporting Jack Caper's unique style and asked
that they continue to laugh together until the end. Drummer Shuma stated that there were many happenings that made him believe that the end could come at any time, but because of the fans they were able to continue on to this point, and he would like to
express his gratitude directly to as many people as possible.
Formed in 2016, Jack Caper has had a rather tumultuous career. Hiro is the only member from the original line-up to make it to the end of the band, as guitarist Riku officially left the group this February. The three
other members all joined the group in 2019, shortly before the coronavirus pandemic hit.
