Jazz fusion ensemble THE JAZZ AVENGERS will release their first album on April 26th.
The self-titled
THE JAZZ AVENGERS will contain ten tracks, including an original composition from each of the eight members. Guitarist
Chizuru Segawa contributed two songs, whilst the album's arranger, keyboardist
Jun Abe, wrote
Funkadelic Muse.
The octet was initially assembled in 2021 by drummer
Senri Kawaguchi. She,
Segawa, keyboardist
Marie Takeda, and
Muses bassist
Juna Serita comprise the rhythm section. The horn section consists of tenor saxophonist
Miku Yonezawa, soprano saxophonist
Ami Nakazono, and alto saxophonists
Miho Terachi and
WaKaNa.
