Singer and voice actress Akane Kumada's ending theme for “Classroom for Heroes” is out on digital platforms worldwide now, with a CD release to follow in September.
Singer and voice actress Akane Kumada released a new digital single on July 17th.
Titled Another Self, the song is the ending theme for the anime series “Classroom for Heroes”.
The song is said to capture the worldview of the anime while also fully reflecting Kumada’s current state of mind and her understanding that facing oneself and accepting one’s weaknesses is a source of growth. The song’s lyrics were written
by labelmate Aira Yuuki, while the composition and arrangement were handled by Tasuku Maeda, along with the producer duo Jazzin’park. Another Self is described as an “ambitious song with a relaxed tempo that features the latest
pop sounds combined with a Lantis-esque sound from the past”.
Links to download and stream the single on various online music platforms are available here.
Another Self will also be released on CD on September 6th. The CD release will contain seven tracks: the title song and its TV-size and instrumental versions, as well as Take My Chance (feat. Kaede Higuchi) and VISIONS and their respective
instrumental versions.
A music video was also unveiled alongside the song’s digital release. It is based on the theme of the anime, "searching for friends". The music video is modeled after a variety show in which Kumada tries to find the lost lyrics. On her journey,
she encounters various people and "discovers what it means to be herself".
