Anna Tsuchiya, who celebrated her 25th anniversary last year, formed a new rock band called
BLVCKPHOENIX ("Black Phoenix") on August 8th.
The band will begin its activities in the independent scene with the goal of delivering "real rock
music that will shake your heart."
In a comment on their
official Instagram account, it was stated that the project began when
Tsuchiya asked a group of up-and-coming musicians who had supported her musical activities for many years as her backing band to work together to create the
"sound of a band" that she admires.
In addition to
Tsuchiya, the band's line-up features guitarist
AKIRA (
BELT and IMOCD!), bassist
OSCAR and drummer
YUDAI (
AIR SWELL). It was noted that they are all strong musicians who have been active in various music scenes, and that they intend to deliver a "raw, real rock sound" that can only be produced
now that they have accumulated a lot of experience.
