Baek Ji-young is set to make her comeback soon after undergoing vocal cord surgery. The singer underwent surgery for a vocal cord cystoma in February and is said to have improved drastically but is still resting at home. The surgery has apparently affected her voice, changing her vocal style from a husky voice to a more clear sounding voice. This hasn't put her off and there are plans for her to release a new album, featuring her new voice, this autumn.
