After years of absence from the music scene as an R&B duo, Brown Eyes have finally returned. Their latest album is called Two Things Needed For The Same Purpose and 5 Objects, and contains 14 tracks. Yoon Gun and Na Ul also took on the role of the album's co-executive producers, and collaborated with the Grammy award winning producer/sound engineer Goh Hotoda, who has previously worked with stars such as Baby Face and Madonna. The album is packed full of variety, with uptempo and mid-tempo ballds, electronic house, Latin soul and R&B. It is set for release on June 23.
The soundtrack to the Korean TV drama Gourmet will soon be released, and has aready getting plenty of attention for itself with the big names that have participated on it - names such as Lee Juck, Tei, Shin Hyesung, Lee Sora, Casker, Lemon Tree and Lee Pil Ho. The team who have produced this album have also been behind successful OSTs such as The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince OST and New Heart OST. This soundtrack will be available from June 27.
Also on June 27 is the release of DJ Koo's first single, I'm DJ Koo. The single contains 6 tracks, but only 2 songs, with a radio, extended and instrumental version of each.
K-indie band Monni have also released something new, a single by the title of Monni: and;. This is their first release since their debut album nearly three years ago. Monni consist of Kim Sini on vocals, Gong Tae Woo on guitar, Lee In Kyung on bass and Song Joo Hwan on drums. Their mellow music has been compared to the likes of Nell and Mary Story.
