Produced by
YOSHIKI, the soundtrack to the horror film
Catacombs will be sold exclusively through Jrock Revolution. From EXTASY RECORDS, the CD also marks
VIOLET UK's album debut. The official release date is October 2nd, but Jrock Revolution is already launching a presale on their
site. The first five hundred pre-orders will also include a special bonus gift which is a special promotional
VIOLET UK video featuring interviews with
YOSHIKI. This limited edition is only available through
Jrock Revolution; nowhere else.
A groundbreaking collaboration between Japanese and American bands, this soundtrack will include artists hand-picked by
YOSHIKI, working alongside the soundtrack's music supervisor and producer,
Jonathan Platt.
YOSHIKI's involvement in this release goes beyond just the choosing of artists and his personal choice to include
Psyche by
hide's band
zilch. He also wrote and produced the ending song,
Blue Butterfly, for the film, the first
VIOLET UK song to be released on an album, their previous releases being only available in digital form.
Other artists included on this release are
Avenged Sevenfold,
Peter Murphy (ex-
Bauhaus),
Skinny Puppy, and more.
