The nine member girlband So Nyuh Shi Dae (a.k.a. Girls' Generation) has sold around 70,000 copies of their new mini-album, Gee, over the last twenty days according to their agency SM Entertainment, and they are expected to become the first musician this year to sell over a 100,000 copies in South Korea, which is very encouraging due to low sales that the Korean Music Industry has endured for the past few years.
So Nyuh Shi Dae's first album sold about 102,000 thousand copies in 2007, being the first time a female group to top 100,000 copies in album sales since S.E.S's fifth album, which sold 400,000 copies in 2002.
The catchy title song of the album, Gee, has achieved the number 1 spot on several music programs.
