The Great Mountain International Music Festival & School (GMMFS), one of the most expected summer events in Korea, will take place at YongPyong Resort in Pyeongchang County, Gangwon Province from July 22 to August 14.
This year’s festival will include performances from several renowned artists, such as violinist
Hyo Kang, the artistic director of Sejong and a faculty member of the prestigious Juilliard School of Music and Yale University, violinist
Kim Chee Yun, who has performed with many of the world’s foremost orchestras, cellist
Myung Wha Chung, teacher of the Korean National University of Arts in Seoul, pianist
Eunjung Kang, the official accompanist for the Great Mountains Music Festival since 2007, violinist
Joseph Kim, concertmaster for New Orleans, New Jersey, and KBS symphonies and music director of the JK Chamber Orchestra and the New Asia String Quartet, conductor
Eunseong Park, appointed music director of the Korean Symphony Orchestra in 2007, among other Korean and international names.
